State law requires that drivers obtain a Colorado license within 30 days of living here. Colorado adult driver licenses, available at age 21, are valid for four years; provisional driver licenses, available at age 18, are valid for three years; and beginner driver licenses, available at age 16, are valid for two years. Vehicle Registration
